4th of July

Tomorrow is the 4th of July, an important a big day in the United States. Do you want to know more about it?

Mañana es 4 de julio, una gran fiesta en Estados Unidos. Aquí en Manchester ya está todo preparado para el gran desfile y la posterior fiesta. Las casas están adornadas con grandes banderas... Pero que celebran realmente?

P.D: Se que faltan días por publicar, pero necesito descansar para mañana estar activa y captar todo lo que pueda sobre esta grandísima fiesta.

5th day

FIRST DAY AT SQUAM LAKE, NH

This morning, we left Manchester and we have gone to Squam Lake, in New Hampshire. When we have arrived to the house near the lake, there was a family there waiting for us.

After unpacking, we have gone to take a swim on the lake. The water was so cold, so I preferred to just go cannoeing. But my partner and I were so bad doing it and we just return very quickly to the beach.

In 5.30 we have returned to the house and men made meat with a big barbecue. As a desert, we have eaten some smores. I haven't tasted it before, but now I can say they are delicious!

4th day

BEACH DAY

Today is Sunday, and also we hadn't had class. At lunchtime we've gone to my neighbours house and we've invited them to go to the beach with us. There we met some other student's and we've spent the morning with them.

At 6 o'clock about 20 Spanish student's have met at Marta's host mummy's home to watch together the football match. It has been exciting to watch it together, even if we have lost it!

3rd day

SATURDAY WITH OUR HOST FAMILIES

Today is Saturday, so we have spent the day with our host families. Because today we didn't take classes, we have got up not too early and then we have had breakfast.

After dinner, mum's family had brought us to a shopping center to buy some clothes and also food. At the supermarket we have found our two neighbours, also on the ex-change program.

When we have arrived home, after shopping, we have put on our track-suits and we have gone to a boat trip. We have gone to an island and there we have stayed  sunbathing for an hour while the kids were swimming. It has been so exciting. An amazing experience.

At night, my neighbours and I went to Gloucester to fiesta and we taste a fried dough.

Second day

FIRST CLASS!!

Today has been our first day of school in EF campus. Early in the morning, we took a car to go to Endicot College to receive our first lessons. It has been so exciting, because the bus we took was the typical American school bus that appears in all the movies!

When we have arrived to the campus, the monitors and the coordinator have given us a chat welcome about rules, trips, classes, and other activities. Then we have divided ourselves in two different groups: bananas and carrots.

My group has started taking lessons in the morning. Our teacher, Talia, has given us a passport to learn and we have started completing it.

After having lunch, we have gone to the beach campus to play some games such as volleyball and soccer. Before going home, to finish our journey, we ate a social ice-cream.

It has been too much fun!!

First day

A LONG JOURNEY

Today we have travelled to Boston. This morning, very early, we have met at Barcelona's airport a group of 5 people and we have gone to Madrid where two monitors and other 50 teens were waiting for us.

There, we took another plane to cross the Atlantic Ocean. This travel has taken about 7 hours.

When we have arrived to our destination, we took a bus and we have gone to Endicott College. There, our host families were waiting for us, and they receive us with a big celebration.

I've already met my host family, and I'm so excited. They are fantastic people! But, after a long journey taking planes and buses I'm so tired and I can't write any more.

TOMORROW IS THE DAY!!

The day has arrived, and I'm so excited to go one month to Boston to improve my English and learn about other cultures.

Two weeks ago, I learnt that I'll be with a host family with three kids in Manchester-by-the-sea. It's so exciting to think I'm going to live such as an American student!!

On the following days, I'll try to post more!!
